Nuts are among the healthiest foods on the planet and are full of healthy fats, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. They make great snacks and add pops of flavor and crunch to salads, yogurt, stir fry, and everything in between. Don’t be confused by peanuts…they are actually a bush bean and are prone to mold toxins because of long-term storage.

Raw nuts are a great option because their fats are stable. Soaked/sprouted nuts are the best options for those with sensitive digestion. Soaking/sprouting breaks down phytates and lectins that can aggravate digestive symptoms. Dry roasting enhances the crispy texture and bold flavors of each nut.
🛑 Stop eating nuts roasted in trans-fat
Most commercially roasted nuts are at high temperatures which damages the healthy fats in the nuts. On top of that, most nuts are roasted in easily damaged nut and seed oils such as peanut, canola, and cottonseed oil. These oils are easily oxidized and become rancid. They are a source of unhealthy free radicals.
