Take a Deep Breath
What is 1 thing you can STOP 🛑 doing in support of 1 thing you will START ✔️ doing to change your life by 5%?
What habits are worth your time and energy and which habits are not worth it? I've got 1 habit you can start and 1 habit you should stop, today!
In our fast-paced all-or-nothing modern lifestyle, we are often moving too quickly to think or feel. When stress rises, your breathing can become constricted, short, rapid, and shallow. This is the last thing you need when you feel stress because shallow breathing further escalates an already-excited hormone and brain state.
✔️ Start Taking Deep Breaths

Deep breathing sends calming signals to your brain and body. It can take you from a high-stress physiology to a lowered cortisol and adrenaline level. Try the physiological sigh made popular by Andrew Huberman. It's literally the quickest and easiest breathwork technique ever:
1. Take a deep inhale
2. Take a second inhale like you are topping off your lungs with air
3. Open your mouth and let out air and a sigh
🛑 Stop Hyperventilating
When you inhale and exhale only into your chest, as opposed to your belly/diaphragm, your breathing is shallow and can cause hyperventilation. Shallow breathing causes dizziness, foggy thinking, muscle tension, fatigue, and impaired immune function.
Moving the needle by small increments yields large results over time.✔️ Start supporting your life with foundational healthy habits and 🛑 stop sabotaging yourself.
