Arterosil & Vascanox HP

by Carly Neubert, BA, NC on October 23, 2024

Have you ever thought to focus on your nitric oxide levels? Maybe not. But surely you’ve thought about your heart and cardiovascular health. Nitric oxide plays a big role in the inner workings of your cardiovascular system. Vascanox HP® is a nitric oxide support supplement. Providing support for up to 24 hours with a single dose, Vascanox HP is fast-acting and long-lasting. Packed with antioxidants and polyphenols, along with Calroy Health Sciences’ proprietary blend Noxa 24 – Vascanox HP is geared to support the natural production, storage and release of nitric oxide.

Nitric oxide has been a hot topic since 2021 when low levels of nitric oxide were linked to the severity of Covid infections and long haul Covid symptoms.

What is Nitric Oxide?

In the 1990s, the physiological importance of nitric oxide was recognized and has since been confirmed by both scientific studies as well as clinical experience. Optimal nitric oxide levels have been shown to support a healthy cardiovascular system, support and maintain blood pressure in the normal range and promote healthy circulation.

Nitric oxide is a gas made within your body. It is made in your EGX (endothelial glycocalyx) which is the gel-like lining inside of your blood vessels, veins, and arteries.  It improves blood flow, which is why it is known for supporting normal blood pressure levels. Nitric oxide widens blood vessels by vasodilation.  This allows for more oxygen and nutrients to flow to muscles and tissues during and after exercise. Studies show that more nitric oxide in your bloodstream produces longer and more intense exercise and a shorter recovery time with less muscle soreness.

Nitric oxide serves as a messenger molecule. It is produced in the body through both the nitric oxide synthase pathway (NOS) and nitrate-nitrite-nitric oxide pathway. Both pathways are supported by Vascanox HP as it supports the entire biotransformation cycle for nitric oxide. Here’s a little bit of information on each pathway and how nitric oxide is produced. The Vascanox HP formula targets nitric oxide metabolism using multiple pathways.

Nitric Oxide Synthase Pathway

Nitric oxide synthases are a group of 3 enzymes that act as a catalyst – beginning and accelerating the production of nitric oxide in the body. Endothelial NOS deals with blood flow and is primarily responsible for generating nitric oxide in the vascular endothelium. The mechanical force of blood flow resulting from this process triggers a response in the endothelial glycocalyx  (EGX). From there, the endothelium is signaled and nitric oxide is generated.

Nitrate-Nitrite-Nitric Oxide Pathway

This pathway deals with ingesting nitrates and the process these nitrates go through to become usable nitric oxide for the body. Nitrates such as green leafy vegetables are ingested and then they are absorbed into circulation. Nitrate is transported to your saliva gland, and while there, nitrate reducing bacteria transforms nitrate into nitrite. Nitrite is then swallowed. In your stomach, part of the nitrite becomes chemically reduced to nitric oxide and the rest is picked up by different enzymes after being absorbed. Eventually, this nitrite is also reduced to nitric oxide.

Free Radicals

Here to disrupt the peace, free radicals are produced by our body’s natural metabolism processes and damage your cells. This causes oxidative stress and ultimately inhibits the production of nitric oxide. Using Vascanox HP will help enhance nitric oxide production and combat inflammation and oxidative stress. While these things are incredibly important, the effect of Vascanox HP on nitric oxide goes beyond and really gets at the ‘heart’ of the issue so-to-speak.

Vascanox HP and Blood Pressure

In a clinical trial that observed the effects of Vascanox HP on nitric oxide and blood pressure levels, the participants saw decreased systolic blood pressure that lasted through all checkpoints of the study. This trial also tracked nitric oxide levels and saw that when participants took Vascanox HP, their nitric oxide levels peaked at about 2 hours post-administration of the supplement and then slowly decayed to still elevated levels which remained above baseline throughout the duration of the study. In conclusion, the study found Vascanox HP to be a “safe, effective, quick-acting, and long-lasting dietary supplement for controlling mild hypertension.” You can read more about this clinical trial here.

Hypertension (also known as high blood pressure), is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. The stats around heart disease are rather sobering. The CDC states, “heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, women, and people of most racial and ethnic groups in the United States.” Taking the time to take care of your heart is so important. Inside the Capsule

Vascanox HP is gluten, dairy, and soy free, and is 100% vegan. The ingredients are thoughtfully sourced and quality controlled. Derived from fruits and vegetables, the selection of synergistic compounds found in Vascanox HP are carefully curated. From top to bottom, the ingredients in Vascanox HP – including potassium nitrate (a precursor for nitric oxide), polyphenols, and antioxidant activities – are meant to support the entire biotransformation process for nitric oxide. Biotransformation refers to the metabolic process for nitric oxide which includes the two pathways I highlighted earlier. Calroy Health Sciences uses what they refer to as a ‘Total Quality System’ for assembly, which relies on strict adherence to cGMP’s current good manufacturing practices. Going a step further, batch and test records throughout the manufacturing process are maintained so that the quality of the final product can be guaranteed.

Packed with Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Thiamine, Vitamin B12, Magnesium, Zinc and Potassium – Vascanox HP offers an array of nutrients. In the proprietary blend you will find a series of extracts of: Black Garlic, Beetroot, Black Currant, Bilberry, Raspberry, Honeysuckle Berry and Blueberry. This blend is considered synergistic meaning all of these selections help bring out the best phytochemical superpowers in each other. Black Garlic and Beetroot are the highlights of the blend, as they act as the catalysts I referred to earlier, helping to kick things into gear. Calroy Health Sciences

Keeping with our Healthy Habits Living standard, Calroy Health Sciences; the maker of Vascanox HP, is an excellent brand. Calroy is committed to rigorous research and formulation as they strive to develop transformative health solutions. Their team is full of innovative professionals in both clinical and scientific fields. Calroy puts a big focus on continued education with the hopes of advancing science to greater benefit practitioners and patients who are seeking answers. The ‘flagship’ formula of Calroy Health Sciences is their Arterosil HP®

Arterosil HP

You may recognize this supplement title from our previous blog, Help Your Heart with Arterosil HP. Arterosil HP focuses specifically on supporting the endothelial glycocalyx (EGX) which lines every artery and vessel inside your body – clearly important for your cardiovascular health. Your EGX is responsible for making your body’s supply of nitric oxide.  Your natural production of nitric oxide can be decreased if your EGX is damaged by heart disease, viruses such as Covid 19, and other chronic infections or toxic exposures.

Pair endothelial glycocalyx support in Arterosil with Vascanox HP, which works on those messenger molecules (nitric oxide) and you’ll be offering your cardiovascular system a powerful tune-up. Good news – we offer these products as a bundle already, so you don’t have to hunt down both products.

Vascanox HP can be used to supply nitric oxide while Arterosil can be used to strengthen your body’s ability to produce your own nitric oxide.
