Homemade Fresh Ginger Tea

It's that season again! Everyone you know is getting a cold or the flu. How are you going to avoid it or fight it off once you get it? Well, one of the cheapest and extremely effective remedies I use is a homemade fresh ginger tea.
Here's a quick and easy recipe to help you fight off the ickies;
Homemade Fresh Ginger Tea
3 inches of fresh ginger
3 cups of water
Local raw honey (if desired)
This is real simple;
First chop the ginger into 1/4 inch thick slices
Then place the ginger in a pot with the water and bring to a boil
Cover and turn the temperature down to low
Let the ginger simmer lightly for approximately 20 mins
Shazaam, now you have ginger tea!!! That simple!
Now, it's going to tasty very gingery, so what I like to do is add just a bit of honey to balance out the flavor. If you're a regular tea drinker, I'm sure you already know this trick.
Enjoy!
