Dietary Supplement • Digestive Enzymes in an Herbal Base
Catalyst-7 provides concentrated digestive enzymes and a blend of complementary herbs that further support digestion. This formula is designed for long term maintenance supporting:
• Healthy nutrient assimilation
• Normal digestive function
• Healthy mucosal integrity
Digestive enzymes are produced by glands located in the mouth and throughout the gastrointestinal tract. Enzymes are foundational substances necessary for life and to keep metabolic pathways ignited. Essential in the digestion and assimilation of food, enzymes allow nutrients to be available for repair, growth, and energy. Many factors may contribute to decreased enzymatic production such as genetics, aging, illness, medications, and poor diet. When enzymes are decreased, digestion is compromised resulting in decreased absorption of nutrients. Supplementation of enzymes is often helpful in such situations.
Catalyst-7 is used to complement clinical strategies including maintenance programs designed to support normal digestive function.

DIGESTIVE ENZYMES
Amylase – Breaks down starches, polysaccharides, and complex carbohydrates.
Protease – Breaks down proteins into amino acids, providing available building blocks for the body.
Cellulase – Breaks down cellulose, an indigestible fiber found in many fruits and vegetables. Cellulase also assists with pre-biotic activity.
Lactase – One of the most commonly depleted natural enzymes, lactase breaks down lactose (milk sugar).
Invertase – Breaks down carbohydrates, especially sucrose, into fructose and glucose.
Alpha-Galactosidase – Breaks down complex carbohydrates and is especially useful in promoting normal digestion of beans and cruciferous vegetables.
Lipase – Breaks down fat molecules into fatty acids and glycogen for energy availability.
Maltase – Breaks down carbohydrates such as, maltose into the simple sugar glucose.
HERBAL COMPLEMENTS
Marshmallow Root – This nourishing, fibrous, and demulcent herb supports the mucosal membrane of the digestive system.
Ginger Root – This warming herb supports secretion of gastric juices, saliva, bile, supports gut motility, and calms nausea and vomiting.
Fennel Seed – This carminative herb supports relaxation of intestinal smooth muscles promoting normal function of digestion and appetite.
Anise Seed – This carminative herb supports relaxation of intestinal smooth muscles promoting normal function of digestion.
